What is manifestation?


So you're interested in learning how to manifest? Well, I'm sure you've heard of the saying "seeing is believing" before. When it comes to manifestation, this couldn't be more true. Creating a vision board or mood board can be an incredibly powerful tool to help you visualize and manifest your goals and desires. It's an easy, fun, and free thing you can do to reach your goals and take your life to the next level. By intentionally focusing on the things you want, you're sending a clear message to the universe about what you want to manifest, and the more you focus on these things, the more likely they are to come into your life.


So, what exactly is a vision board?


It's a collage of images, words, and phrases that represent what you want to manifest in your life. The best part about it is that it can be as simple or as elaborate as you want it to be. Some people create vision boards on poster boards, while others like me use digital tools like Canva or Pinterest to create virtual vision boards.

When you look at your vision board regularly, it can help to keep your goals and desires in mind, which can help to keep you motivated to make them into a reality. The more you see it, the more it will serve as a reminder of what you're working towards, thus helping you achieve your goals. It is in no way a golden ticket to whatever you want, it's more like a “hack” to fast-track you to an intended outcome.



A step-by-step guide to manifesting your desires:

Mentally accepting manifestation can work


You may feel silly at first, but what I have found is that if you want this method to work you need to suspend your mind into a place of possibility. Accept this is the method you want to use to help you achieve your goals and that it can work.


Cleanse your space


It's important to have good energy when manifesting your goals. Cleansing your space can be an important part of the manifestation process because it's a physical act that helps us to mentally create a clear and focused energy in our environment. This can help to remove any negativity that may be blocking your manifestations and create a more positive and supportive environment for your goals and desires to take root. Think of what you want to achieve


It's important to be specific, but also to be flexible and open to possibilities when thinking of what you want to manifest. Being specific can help to guide your efforts and increase your chances of success, so don't be shy in asking for exactly what you want to come of this process.


Write down your goals


When you have a clear idea of what you want, it's easier to figure out the steps needed to get there. Take time to write down your goals and some steps you'll need to take to get there in a journal or anywhere convenient.


Collect images and make your mood board


Make sure to include images that represent the steps you need to take to reach your goals, and new habits, and images that will represent the goals themselves. Be sure to include images of every step of your goals steps to really visualize yourself achieving them. Useful tools for creating your mood board are mentioned later in this post.


Check-in daily with your vision board


It's important to place your vision board somewhere you will see it every day. Look at it daily to remind yourself and the universe what you're working towards. I made mine into the wallpaper for my laptop since I'm on my computer every day.


Practice affirmations & remember to take steps to make your vision board your reality.


Remind yourself what you want every day and attempt to take baby steps towards your goals. Also, try incorporating the use of daily affirmations to help reprogram your subconscious mind and shift your focus from negative to positive thinking. It's important to choose affirmations that resonate with you and to say them with full conviction.

Canva

Canva is a powerful and user-friendly tool that can be used to create professional-quality mood boards. On Canva they make it super simple to set up. Simply create a free account and select the “mood board” option under "Create a design". Then choose from a variety of layouts, insert your images, and tweak the design until you are happy with it.


Adobe Express

Previously known as Adobe Spark, Adobe Express has grown in popularity due to its user-friendly interface and range of design capabilities. Once in the app or online search and choose a template or layout for your mood board & upload images. You can choose your images, or choose from their library of over 1 million free images and illustrations. When you're happy with your design, you can save it to your account or download it to your computer in a variety of file formats.


Tezza

Tezza is a photo editing and design app that allows users to create and edit professional-quality images and other visual content on their mobile devices. The app is designed to be easy to use and offers a wide range of features and tools, including filters, overlays, text, stickers, and more. In addition to basic photo editing features, Tezza also includes a mood board maker, allowing users to create professional-quality mood boards quickly and easily.



Where to find inspo for your vision board:


Pinterest is a great source of inspiration because it provides a wide range of content in a visually appealing format that can help spark your creativity. In addition, much of the content on Pinterest is created by other users, which means that you can find inspiration from people with similar interests and goals!


Pexels is a website that offers a wide variety of free stock photos, videos, and other visual content. It's a popular resource for bloggers, designers, and other creatives who need high-quality images and videos for their projects. Users can browse and download photos and videos from Pexels Surplus for free, with no need to credit the original creator. This can be a useful resource for people who need visual content for their projects but don't have the budget or resources to create it themselves.


Unsplash is unique in that all of the photos and videos on the site are contributed by a community of photographers and videographers from around the world. These creators make their work available for others to use for free, with no need to credit the original creator. Users can browse and download photos and videos from Unsplash for free, and use them for a wide variety of purposes, including commercial projects.



Other types of manifestation methods:


There are many different methods that people use to manifest their goals, desires, and dreams. Here are a few of my favorite methods:


Affirmations: This involves repeating positive statements to yourself, either out loud or in your head, to manifest your desired outcome. For example, some affirmations to reduce anxiety could be “I am calm and in control” or “I am strong and capable of overcoming any challenge”

Gratitude: This involves focusing on the things that you are grateful for in your life, which can help to attract more positive experiences and outcomes. I like to do this by journaling daily what I’m grateful for and reminding loved ones I appreciate them.

Law of attraction: This is the idea that like attracts like, and that by focusing on what you want and taking action toward it, you can attract it into your life.

Setting goals: This involves setting specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound goals for yourself to manifest your desires. I set my goals by using a vision board after journaling.

Letting go: This involves releasing any negative thoughts, emotions, or beliefs that may be holding you back and replacing them with positive ones. This is especially helpful if you're guilty of negative self-talk. Identify any negative thoughts or emotions that are holding you back, acknowledge and accept these thoughts and emotions, but don't let them control you. Then Practice self-compassion and self-love to make it easier to let go of the past, forgive, and replace those negative thoughts with positive productive ones.


These are just a few common methods of manifestation and different techniques that may work better for different people. It's important to find the method that works best for you and to be consistent and persistent in your efforts to manifest your desires. I have found that practicing gratitude and setting goals has made a huge difference in my overall mood and productivity since starting them as rituals three years ago.
